IF YOU ARE A VISITOR… All baptized Christians who receive Communion in their own church are welcome to receive the Sacrament with us this morning. Please join us.

IF YOU DESIRE PERSONAL PRAYER… Please bring a Prayer Book with you to the communion rail and I will be happy to pray with you. You may, if you wish, let me know what it is you want to pray for and if you would like to be anointed with oil. Such prayers can be for healing, either for yourself or for someone else. If someone next to you at the rail is being prayed for, would you please silently add your own prayer to mine even though you may not know the reason. The Lord knows, and that is enough.

A message from Rev. George Eves,

                                   our Priest-in-Charge...

                                 Welcome to Our Church

I hope that someone has already made you welcome but

let me add my own as well.

St. Luke’s is a church of learners, of pilgrims along the way.  We have not “arrived” yet and we certainly do not have all the answers.  However, we do have confidence in the One we are seeking to follow, that he is the Way and the Truth and the Life.  Indeed it is the Presence of Jesus among us and in us that sustains us even in the difficult moments of life.

If you are visiting “from away”, I hope that you might here find encouragement for your own faith.  We pray that the Lord might watch over you as you travel and bring you safely home.

If you live in the area, I would like to extend an invitation to join us in our journey.  The Bible tells us that every Christian belongs in a local “body of Christ” in which he or she can minister and be ministered to.  The truth is that we need each other. St. Luke’s is not a large church with a multitude of programs but we can offer ourselves to one another in love.  Such service transcends programs and agendas and allows Christ himself to work among us.

If you are not yet a believer but are seeking answers to the great questions of life, I hope that in your time with us today you may have caught a glimpse of who Jesus really is.  Please do not hesitate to speak to me and perhaps arrange a time for a longer conversation.

Yours in Christ,

George
